(RHR) Remote Ham Radio Youth
In the early months of 2023, a new opportunity opened up for me in the world of amateur radio: Remote Ham Radio Youth. Through this platform, I gained remote access to radio stations located in Croatia (9A), allowing me to get on the air under the callsign 9A/TA7YLY. Using Yagi antennas and high-power setups was an exhilarating experience, especially when handling pileups—where multiple stations call at the same time. It was a thrilling challenge to manage.
In a relatively short period, I successfully completed the 100 confirmed DXCC countries, marking a significant milestone in my amateur radio journey. Soon after, the Remote Ham Radio network added a station in Slovenia (S5), and I continued my operations using the callsign S5/TA7YLY. Working stations from different countries has further enhanced my skills and knowledge in amateur radio.
Remote Ham Radio (RHR) provides a remarkable opportunity, especially for young operators, offering access to high-performance radio stations across the globe free of charge. Powered by Flex Radio systems, the platform allows users to operate remotely from the comfort of their own homes, making it possible to engage in global radio communication without physical constraints. If you are a young radio enthusiast and would like to experience this yourself, you can visit the Remote Ham Radio Youth Network to sign up.

CQ DX Marathon 2023
Participating in the CQ Marathon 2023 was an unforgettable experience for me. With the introduction of the Youth category for the first time, it was thrilling to be part of a group of young amateur radio operators. Over the course of a year, I diligently worked to collect DX stations on the air, ultimately achieving a score of 236 points. While there was potential for a higher score, I gave my best effort.
In the end, I placed 3rd globally in the Youth category and ranked 2nd in Europe. Competing with the callsign S5/TA7YLY from Slovenia made this achievement even more meaningful, as I also earned the national top spot. These results were a source of immense pride and represent a significant milestone in my amateur radio hobby.
